Shopping weekends, romantic holidays, family getaways, football breaks, city breaks or skiing holidays. The choice is yours. In the 1970s everyone went on charter holidays. During the 80s, all young people went inter-railing. In the 90s, Thailand was the place to be. Today, you decide where to go.

At Sterling we do our very best to satisfy your specific needs. In doing this we have expanded our travel catalogue with a range of exciting new destinations. We now have more than 120 routes all over Europe – leaving plenty of room for individuality. Especially now that we fly from Copenhagen, Billund, Aalborg, Oslo, Malmö, Gothenburg and Stockholm and – as of March – from Bergen too.

But it is not only our travel programme that allows room for individuality; it is the entire philosophy behind Sterling. That is why you only pay for what you order. You don’t pay for other people’s skis when you are going on a beach holiday. You don’t pay for other people’s food if you are not hungry yourself. And you don’t pay for other people’s pets if you left your own cat at home. This is sometimes interpreted as the equivalent to not getting what you pay for. But that’s far from the case. It’s only fair that you just pay for the things you need.

All Sterling’s five million passengers do have some things in common, though. They all fly with one of the youngest and most environmentally friendly Boeing 737 aeroplane fleets in Europe. Organic food is sold on board. The ticket price is low and Sterling is among the most precise airlines in the industry: 85% of our flights depart on time, eight out of ten Sterling passengers land on time and nine out of ten passengers receive their luggage within half an hour of landing.
