On behalf of the thousand dedicated employees of our airline, I am pleased to welcome you aboard Sterling. As you may have noticed we have launched a new livery and a new image and branding campaign signaling our core values. Delivering reliability and flexibility at a fair price is our goal.
I am proud to be the new CEO of Sterling and to introduce our new look. Our new logo is a modern interpretation of the Sterling “S” which was first used when the airline was established by the Tjæreborg founder, Ejlif Krogager, back in 1962. Over the coming months, all aircraft also will be refitted with grey leather seats, black carpets and red seat belts. We are also continuing the installation of winglets on all our new-generation aircraft to reduce fuel consumption and our carbon footprint. With a young, efficient fleet, and a new look, we hope to complement the changes which you will be seeing in our product offering.
We want to take Sterling to the next level by delivering what you, as our customer, expect. We will offer a greater variety of choices for you. When it comes to routes and destinations we have already expanded intensely during the past year, and our SterlingConnect product will be expanded to offer greater flight schedule options for passengers. Additionally, we offer the choice of our base fares or SterlingFlex tickets for those passengers who need greater change or cancellation options. Web check-in will be implemented on most scheduled routes to improve the pre-flight procedures. On-board, we will be further refining the in-flight shopping opportunities to deliver a better selection of food and merchandise.
It is a very exciting time to be leading Sterling and I hope that you will feel our dedication to improving your flying experience. Enjoy your flight and this spring issue of our in-flight magazine packed with ideas for your travel all over Europe with Sterling.
Thank you for choosing Sterling.
