check-in at the click of a mouse

Fast-stream travel when you pre-select your seat

You may be pleased to hear that check-in queues will soon be a thing of the past! Sterling is happy to announce a new online check-in facility, launched in August.

Who can use online check-in? The online check-in procedure is currently available on all tickets for flights from Copenhagen, for passengers who have pre-selected their seats on the aircraft. Pre-selected seat booking is available as part of the online ticket purchase procedure, at a supplement of DKK 195. You can check-in online up to 26 hours before your departure. If you buy a ticket less than 26 hours before the flight you will need to check-in at the Sterling kiosk in the airport as normal.

How does it work? Online check-in is easy. Once you have chosen the flights you wish to book, and the seat you would like to sit in, there is an option to check-in. Just look for the mouse logo above. Then simply read the on-board safety information, check the box to say you have understood this, and print out your boarding pass ready for travel. Your boarding pass will also be emailed to you, so you can print it out anytime before you fly.

What happens when I get to the airport? When you arrive at Copenhagen airport, all you’ll need to do is check your bag in at the fast-stream Sterling ‘Bag Drops only’ kiosk. If you only have a carry-on bag, just head straight to Departures security. What does the boarding card look like? As with all boarding cards, your paper boarding pass carries a barcode, which will be read by machines at Copenhagen airport security and at the gate directly before you board.

New code-share deal offers you more choice than ever

We always aim to give our customers the greatest possible choice on flight times and routes, and a new code-share starting in September will offer you more choice than ever.

As our President and CEO Almar Örn Hilmarsson mentioned in his Welcome letter on page 7 of this magazine, Sterling has announced a code-sharing relationship with Norwegian Air Shuttle.

This means more choice for you. Norwegian Air Shuttle will cooperate with Sterling on Oslo-Copenhagen and Stockholm-Copenhagen routes from 15 September. From the end of October we’ll also be extending the cooperation to a number of international destinations from Oslo and Stockholm.

Stockholm
This new code-share pact between the two largest low-cost airlines in Scandinavia will allow you, our passengers, to choose among the offerings of both carriers. Sterling CEO Almar Örn Hilmarsson explains: “Both Norwegian and Sterling have a clear interest in maintaining satisfied customers by offering a wide choice of products at attractive prices. This code-share should make it simpler for passengers to travel with both of us.”

Bjørn Kjos, CEO of Norwegian, added: “The new cooperation between Sterling and Norwegian enables both carriers to utilise the fleet and resources in a much more efficient way. This cooperation makes a lot of sense with the soaring fuel prices we see today.”

A friendly deal where everyone wins! For more information and a full list of code-share routes, see www.sterling.com
